Privacy, Our Promise to You ~

The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act governs the way we collect, use and disclose personal information to fulfill our service obligation to you. However, to serve you under the Act we must have your consent to maintain, use or disclose personal information necessary in the fulfillment our service obligation.

By giving us your consent, you acknowledge that you have read our on-line Privacy Policy and give Expérience Authentique and its Canadian partner Your Journey, your permission to use personal information for the Identified Purposes as stated in our on-line Policy .  Your consent allows us to make and secure reservations, issue transportation documents and vouchers, and to provide travel suppliers with information they need to complete the necessary purchasing arrangements you require.  Your consent also permits us to keep you apprised of topical travel advice, promotions and advisories that may be of interest to you.

As stated in our on-line Privacy Policy , the personal information we maintain and use is solely for the purposes of serving the travel arrangements you may request and ask us to undertake, as well as keeping you informed of travel up-dates and promotions that may be of interest to you.

You may withdraw your consent at anytime. You also have the right to access your personal information in our possession.

Terms & Conditions of Service ~

Expérience Authentique acts in the capacity of  either “travel agent” or ‘travel planner” to assist you in your purchase of travel services detailed on this web site.  The named suppliers are independent parties over which we have no direct control.  Therefore, we cannot be responsible for their acts or omissions.  Nor do we assume responsibility for any claims, losses, damages, costs or expenses arising out of any personal injury, accident or death, delay or loss of enjoyment resulting from:

a.  The acts or omissions of anyone other than ourselves, or our employees acting properly on our behalf;

b.  Illness, theft, labour dispute, act(s) of God, mechanical breakdown, equipment failure, quarantine, rescheduling, government action, or other events beyond our direct control, or

c.  Non-performance, negligent performance or deficient performance by any supplier of travel services;

d.  Failure of a client to obtain necessary travel documentation such as passport, VISA and/or necessary proof of inoculation;

e.  Failure of a client to arrive at an airport, cruise terminal, or other point of departure, in time for his or her departure or connection;

f.  The need for us to change itineraries or substitute accommodation or hotels, or services provided that every effort has been made to supply the most comparable services and accommodation available;

g.  Failure of a client to be properly insured against trip cancellation/interruption, trip delay, medical, baggage, baggage delay, travel accident, or any other form of protection deemed prudent and necessary for travel.

Your Warranty ~

If you have selected a package tour or other travel service from us, we assume you have read the relevant material and terms and conditions in our suppliers’ brochure. In it you will find much essential information.  It is essential reading because it outlines precisely what it is you have purchased and the warranty applied to your trip.  If you do not have a copy of our suppliers’ brochure, please request one from us.

We always recommend travel insurance ~

Many potential problems for which we cannot be responsible can be insured against. For this reason we strongly suggest that you obtain appropriate travel insurance coverage. We can recommend and arrange flexible, cost-effective coverage for you.

Although every effort is made to ensure the reliability of information on our web site, we cannot be held responsible for any errors and omission. Featured offers apply to new bookings only and are subject to availability at the time of booking.  Certain other restrictions may apply.

Our legal status ~

Expérience Authentique operates as an independent travel planner matching clients’ travel requirements with best in class travel services suppliers. For all travel services booked directly overseas with a 3 rd party, Expérience Authentique selects licenced agencies in the country where they operate. For travel series that involve the rental of a private home, the owner is being asked to carry 3rd party liability insurance for short term rental or, if not possible,  as a client you are being asked to purchase it. We can in this situation recommend cost-effective liability coverage for you on your vacation home. For all travel services purchased directly in Canada , Expérience Authentique operates as a division of Your Journey under the trade name Expérience Authentique at Your Journey
